We specialise in handwoven Amazigh rugs from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Our collection includes:
Each type has its own distinctive character — Azilal rugs are bold and colourful with geometric Amazigh symbols, Beni Ourain are ivory with refined diamond patterns, and Boucherouite are vibrant and playful, made from reclaimed textiles.
Yes, absolutely. Every rug in our collection is woven by hand by a single artisan woman, without any written pattern. The design lives entirely in her memory and creative expression. This means no two rugs are ever identical — not even those made by the same weaver.
Each rug comes with a certificate of authenticity and is signed on the reverse by its maker — a century-old tradition among Amazigh weavers.
We offer rugs in standard sizes from 2×3 ft up to 10×14 ft. Most pieces in our collection are listed with their exact dimensions. We also accept custom size orders — these are woven to specification and typically take 6–10 weeks depending on size and complexity.
If you need a specific size, contact us at hello@moroccaninfinity.com before ordering.
We offer semi-custom commissions. You can share a colour direction, mood board or interior reference, and we'll work with an artisan to create a rug that fits your vision while preserving her authentic voice and technique.
Custom rugs cannot be returned, and a 50% deposit is required to begin production. Lead time is typically 8–14 weeks.
Atlas Low is our standard pile height (~2 cm). It has a dense, plush feel, perfect for high-traffic areas and contemporary interiors. The pattern reads crisply at this height.
Zahara High is a longer pile (~4–5 cm) giving the rug a softer, more sculptural texture. Colours appear slightly more diffuse and the rug has a more relaxed, bohemian character. Best for bedrooms and low-traffic areas.
We photograph every rug in natural daylight to represent colours as accurately as possible. Natural dyes can appear slightly different depending on your screen calibration and the lighting in your space — colours may be richer and warmer in person than on screen.
If colour accuracy is critical for your project, we're happy to send a physical swatch. Contact us to request one.
Section 02
All our rugs are produced in the Azilal province, in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco — one of the oldest rug-weaving regions in the world. The women who weave them are from local Amazigh (Berber) communities who have passed this craft down through generations.
Our showroom and team are based in Marrakech. We coordinate production directly with artisans in Azilal — no middlemen, no factories.
It depends on the size and pile density. A typical 3×5 ft rug takes 3–4 weeks. A large format piece (6×9 ft or above) can take 10–14 weeks. Each knot is tied by hand, which means approximately 40,000 knots per square metre.
All pieces you see in our shop are already finished and ready to ship. Lead time only applies to custom orders.
We use exclusively natural plant-based dyes: saffron, pomegranate skin, henna, indigo, wild walnut shells and local mineral earths. These are the same dyes Amazigh women have used for centuries.
They are 100% non-toxic, child-safe and allergy-friendly. Natural dyes also tend to age beautifully — they soften and deepen over time rather than fading harshly like synthetic dyes.
Yes, always. We work directly with a network of over 100 Amazigh women weavers in the Azilal region. There are no factories, no intermediaries and no mass production in our supply chain.
We pay fair wages, significantly above the regional average, and ensure every artisan retains creative ownership over her work. The name or personal mark of each weaver is recorded and travels with every rug.
All our wool comes from Atlas Mountain sheep raised by local families in the same Azilal communities. Shearing is done by hand in spring, humanely and without harm to the animals. The wool is then washed in mountain streams and sun-dried — no industrial processing.
Natural lanolin is preserved throughout, which gives the finished rugs their soft, durable quality and gentle water-resistance.

Section 05
Day to day: vacuum gently on low suction, moving with the grain of the pile. Avoid the fringe edges.
Spills: blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth — never rub. For light stains, use cold water and a small amount of mild wool-safe soap. Work from the outside of the stain inward.
Deep cleaning: consult a professional rug specialist familiar with hand-knotted wool. Do not machine wash or dry clean with harsh chemicals.
Rotate your rug 180° once or twice a year to ensure even wear, especially in high-traffic areas.
Yes — a small amount of shedding is completely normal for any handwoven wool rug, especially during the first few weeks of use. This is loose fibre from the weaving process, not a defect.
Shedding will diminish significantly after 4–8 weeks of regular vacuuming. The rug will then be stable and long-lasting — well-cared-for Moroccan rugs are known to last 50–100 years.
Absolutely. All dyes are natural and non-toxic. The wool itself is hypoallergenic by nature — natural lanolin has inherent anti-bacterial and dust-mite-resistant properties.
For homes with pets, we recommend our Atlas Low pile option, which is easier to vacuum and more resistant to claw wear than longer pile heights.
Natural dyes age gracefully rather than fading sharply. Over years of use, colours will soften and develop a patina that many collectors consider more beautiful than the original. This is a quality of the material, not a defect.
To slow colour change, avoid prolonged direct sunlight. If placed in a sun-drenched room, rotate the rug regularly to ensure even exposure across the surface.

Our name and logo are inspired by the Amazigh infinity symbol — a geometric motif that appears throughout Berber art, textiles and architecture, representing timelessness, continuity and the unbroken thread between generations.
The logo combines this infinity element with a traditional Moroccan carpet shape — inspired by rolled rugs — and classic Amazigh geometric symbols. It is our belief that every rug we sell carries an infinite story, passed from one generation to the next, now travelling to a new home anywhere in the world.
